Conventional orthodontic treatments involve the correction of dental irregularities such as protruding or procluding teeth, jaw disorder, crowded teeth and spacing between the teeth. Orthodontic treaments or braces are primarily used to reposition teeth going out of their original location or to repair the teeth structure. The braces are made mainly of standard metal together with wire, which allows repositioning of the protruding and crooked teeth. Treatment takes between 12 and 24 months, depending on the severity.
